Abstract

The intervention on historic urban tissues is a contemporary challenge and a topic that requires reflection on their integration into the city in order to meet the needs of its inhabitants and enhance its identity and social memory. It represents a historic center, which is the most important part of the city of Sétif. This center is physically and socially deteriorating. It can be renovated by creating places to improve the required social mix and offer attractive spaces characterized by commercial, social, and cultural activities. This project meets the needs of the population to revitalize the urban area in a historic center of the city.
