Abstract

Some chemotherapy drugs are the cause of oral complications. Periodontitis, candidiasis, herpes, bleeding, xerostomia, and dysgeusia, among others are all consequences of the treatment, which must be managed. The patient undergoing chemotherapy should be subject to specific dental care. A check-up is essential prior to treatment especially when wearing braces or dentures. During treatment, dental care will depend on the blood test, but strict hygiene is needed. The regularity and thoroughness of this care should continue post chemotherapy.
