| dc.description.abstract | Some chemotherapy drugs are the cause of oral complications. Periodontitis, candidiasis, herpes, bleeding, xerostomia, and dysgeusia, among others are all consequences of the treatment, which must be managed. The patient undergoing chemotherapy should be subject to specific dental care. A check-up is essential prior to treatment especially when wearing braces or dentures. During treatment, dental care will depend on the blood test, but strict hygiene is needed. The regularity and thoroughness of this care should continue post chemotherapy. | |
| dc.description.sponsorship | Certaines molécules de chimiothérapie sont à l’origine de complications bucco-dentaires. Parodontite, candidose, herpès, hémorragie, xérostomie, dysgueusie, parmi d’autres, sont autant de conséquences du traitement qui doivent être prises en charge. Le patient sous chimiothérapie doit donc faire l’objet de soins bucco-dentaires précis. Un bilan est impératif avant le début de traitement, notamment en cas de port d’appareil orthodontique ou de prothèse. Durant le traitement, le recours aux soins bucco-dentaires dépendra du bilan sanguin, mais une hygiène rigoureuse sera nécessaire. La régularité et la méticulosité de ces soins devront perdurer en phase post-chimiothérapie. | |
