Abstract

This thesis presents the design, development, and deployment of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) dedicated to medical analysis laboratories. The project was carried out in collaboration with Infinity Prod by SIGEAD to address challenges related to data management, traceability, security, and workflow efficiency. The proposed solution is based on a three-tier architecture combining an Angular 17 frontend, a PHP 8 REST API backend, and a MySQL database. The system provides functionalities for patient management, test prescription and tracking, result validation, invoicing, payment monitoring, and secure access to laboratory results through QR codes . Security mechanisms include bcrypt password hashing, role-based access control (RBAC), session authentication, and prepared statements to prevent SQL injection attacks. The application has been successfully deployed on the company’s cloud infrastructure. The results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in centralizing laboratory data, improving process traceability, automating routine operations, and enhancing the overall quality of laboratory management.
