| dc.description.abstract | This theoretical study aims to provide an in-depth overview of medicinal plants used in traditional medicine for treating diabetes in the Sétif region of Algeria. The study relies on a comprehensive review of existing literature and previous research in the field of ethnobotany, with the goal of gathering and classifying accumulated knowledge regarding these plants of historical and cultural significance. The core of this study lies in determining the potential efficacy of these plants, not only based on their inherited traditional uses but also by linking them to active chemical components known for their antidiabetic properties. This analysis will allow for an understanding of the underlying biological mechanisms behind the therapeutic efficacy of these plants, thereby opening new avenues for pharmaceutical research | |
| dc.description.sponsorship | Cette étude théorique vise à offrir un aperçu approfondi des plantes médicinales utilisées en médecine traditionnelle pour le traitement du diabète dans la région de Sétif, en Algérie. L'étude s'appuie sur une revue complète de la littérature existante et des recherches antérieures dans le domaine de l'ethnobotanique, dans le but de recueillir et de classer les connaissances accumulées concernant ces plantes d'une importance historique et culturelle. Le cœur de cette étude réside dans la détermination de l'efficacité potentielle de ces plantes, non seulement basée sur leurs utilisations traditionnelles héritées, mais aussi en les associant aux composants chimiques actifs connus pour leurs propriétés antidiabétiques.
