Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of healthcare system digitalization in improving the quality of healthcare services through a survey of the opinions of medical staff at Youssef Yaalaoui Hospital in Aïn Azal. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire was used as the main data collection tool, and it was distributed to a sample of 40 medical staff members who have direct involvement in the implementation of digitalization within the studied institution. The questionnaire consisted of two main sections: the first related to healthcare system digitalization, and the second related to the characteristics of healthcare services, which include: urgency, the human and ethical aspect, the need for trust and safety, information asymmetry, and inseparability and non-storability of services. The study yielded a set of findings, the most important of which is the existence of a positive effect of healthcare system digitalization on improving the quality of healthcare services through the enhancement of these characteristics within the studied institution.
