Abstract
The physical, functional and structural stakes are constantly threatened by several natural phenomena in NE Algeria. The mass movement hazard is part of it. The national road RN75 is exposed each year during the winter period to egradations; Which are caused mainly by ground movements and particularly of landslide type, sagging and falling block. These ground movements are triggered either by natural or anthropogenic causes. SIG technologies are the ideal tool for combining the various factors that directly or indirectly affect the stability of slopes. They can be modeled as data and interpreted as layers of causal factors (geological, topographic, hydrological and geotechnical). The Aléa map of our study
area is established by the weighted superposition of the factor information layers based on the deterministic method using the relative weights derived from the AHP method (Hierarchical Analysis Process). The correlation between the location of the degradations identified by the inventory with the medium and high risk zones shows a rate of 65% validation. The analysis of soil vulnerability to land movements using SIG is an important step in protecting and preventing natural azards
