Through its title “Biophilic Architecture”, this thesis focuses on designing a biophilic wellness retreat aimed at bridging the gap between modern life and nature. The work emphasizes the importance of integrating natural elements within architectural practices to enhance the overall well-being of individuals. Addressing issues related to environmental sustainability and human health, the thesis explores various biophilic principles such as natural light, ventilation, greenery, and water features. These elements are incorporated into the design of the wellness retreat to create spaces that promote physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being. Situated in a mountainous site, the proposed wellness retreat leverages the natural landscape to offer a sanctuary that fosters a deeper connection with nature. This research provides a comprehensive framework for developing spaces that prioritize ecological harmony and human health, advocating for a holistic approach to contemporary architecture.
