Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the role of information security in protecting financial data in the contex of digital transformation, as one of the most pressing challenges facing contemporary economic institutions. The National Insurance Company (SAA) in Sétif was selected as a case study due to its administrative and financial operations. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used interviews as the main tool for collecting data from a group of employees and managers within the institution. The findings revealed that the company relies on modern security systems and procedures that have contributed to strengthening the protection of financial data and reducing both internal and external risks. The results also confirmed the existence of a relationship between the application of information security and the protection of financial data from technical and administrative perspectives, although the level of security awareness among individuals was found to be moderate. The study recommends the need to generalize training and awareness programs for all employees, in addition to investing in modern technologies to enhance information security and improve the efficiency of information systems.
