The closure of Gaza’s International Airport in 2001 has had profound consequences for Palestinian mobility and development. This research explores airport operations and management within a theoretical framework, focusing on Gaza International Airport. It examines the challenges stemming from the airport's closure and the complexities of travel through the Rafah crossing. The study advocates for the rehabilitation of the airport as a catalyst for sustainable development and regional connectivity, highlighting the urgent need for holistic solutions that prioritize Palestinian rights and well-being. Ultimately, it calls for renewed international commitment to support the reconstruction of Gaza’s critical infrastructure, aiming to pave the way for a more prosperous future for the Palestinian people.
