Observance Thérapeutique et Diabète Type2

Abstract

Like hypertension, dysthyroidism, dyslipidemia, cancers... Diabetes is considered today one of the most widespread chronic diseases in the world with a predominance of type 2, which has been constantly increasing for several years. This work had as a study population, 124 diabetic patients from the wilaya of Setif and showed that type 2 diabetes had a female predominance, that it affected subjects over the age of 50 more particularly, that the majority of them was overweight (BMI> 25 Kg/m²) and favored doctors from the private sector, hypertension was the most common underlying disease and metformin was the most prescribed oral antidiabetic (alone or in combination) and that therapeutic compliance was mediocre, not exceeding 49% of the patients studied.
