Étude sur l’amélioration de la qualité de l’administration des médicaments au niveau de service de néphrologie du chu de Sétif : exemple de mise en place d’une procédure

Abstract

« The right drug, in the right time to the right patient », is the first mission of hospital pharmacists, guarantors of good use of health products. The pharmacist must secure all the chain links from prescription to administration, guarantees and evaluates the effects which may result from the use of these products. This operation is called Safety pathway for drug circulation. Considering the issues and risks related to medication errors that can be presented by the drug circuit at the hospital, particularly at the administration level, our project finds entirely its place. This is the proposal we were able to make to the nephrology department, which concerns a complete procedure of improving the administration of drugs at the setif CHU level. We have also drafted a comprehensive and detailed procedure that recalls organizational, regulatory and good administrative practices. This latest nursing facility aims to improve the quality of drug delivery in the nephrology department, and then we have combined the needs of the field with the regulatory requirements and good practices of the hospital pharmacy, to develop a procedure corresponding to our original objective. Due to the health crisis linked to the development of the global pandemic of COVID 19, we were not able to introduce or validate this procedure in the nephrology department of the Setif University Hospital; we simply proposed it in manuscripts and emailed it to the responsible of the service
