Abstract
Springbackcan cause problems in the production of stamped parts as itcanresult in dimensionaldeviationsfrom the desiredspecifications. In thiscontext, weweretaskedwithconductingchemical, geometric, and plastic behaviorcharacterization of two types of stainlesssteelused in the manufacturing of a cooker component at ATLAS SETIF company. Weperformedtensilemechanical tests, hardness tests, chemical composition analysis, and roughnessmeasurements. The experimental tests demonstratedasignificantdecrease in springbackwithincreasingclamping force and an increase in springbackwithdeeperdepths for both types of tests (U and V-shaped).
