La Leucemie Aigue Chez Les Enfants : maniffestations Buccales Et Prise En Charge Bucco-Dentaire

Abstract

In our country, about 200 new cases of leukemia are diagnosed in children every year. The management of leukemia takes a significant place in dentistry because of the many oral manifestations that causes the disease, as well as the complications of its various therapeutic means. The dentist is expected to know the complications of treatments on denture and also the dental problems that can affect the smooth running of chemotherapy. The global care of the leukemic child, in collaboration with the medical team is very important to improve the quality of life of the child. Our role will therefore be to accompany the child before, during and after his cancer treatment, by giving oral hygiene advices, by providing preventive care and also giving out the necessary care.
