Corticoïdes Profil D’emploi Et Habitudes D’usage

Abstract

Corticosteroids are a therapeutic class that is widely used to treat a variety of diseases. However, due to potential adverse effects, especially during prolonged treatment, their use must be done with caution. This study aims to highlight the employment profiles and therapeutic habits associated with corticoïdes within the population under investigation. In order to do this, we conducted a cross-sectional observational study with 510 volunteers using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis revealed that corticosteroids are used in various clinical situations, either as short-term treatment, mainly for respiratory disorders, or as long-term therapy in the management of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Overall, the participants demonstrated good therapeutic adherence, although some reported experiencing adverse effects. Intermittent use of corticosteroids is a practice frequently observed among patients with chronic diseases.
