Revitalisation du quartier R’hiba médina de Tlemcen

Abstract

This work is the culmination of research work which is part of a perspective of conservation and development of urban and architectural Inheritance of the old city of Tlemcen, this city is a living example of a place of memory local and regional identity, reflecting the Muslim civilization. For this purpose the problematic treats the degradation of this Inheritance and marginalization of residential quarter. The quarter R'hiba wich is a residentialquarter under-equipped, under-populated and in advanced state of degradation is taken as an example. it requires a global intervention on the different levels economic, social, cultural and environmental. This intervention is one of the objectives of revitalization in Tlemcen city. The integration of new functions such as the projection of tourist circuit also th reinforcement of original function which is the habitat ara tow objectifs to revive, energize this historic quarter and make it an attractive place for residents and tourists.
