Abstract

The Medical Record of the Patient is a document gathering all the information concerning the person treated. Whether it is on paper or in the form of computers, it may be an imperative for the quality of care, since it is a tool for the traceability of medical procedures, security of care, continuity of care, Medico-economic cooperation, coordination and communication between professionals and also the evaluation of professional practices. That said, this holds as much as possible the doctorpatient relationship. In Algeria, the medical file of the patient is not the subject of a clear regulation or a strict recommendation as is the example of the CHU in Setif. As a result, his dress remains vague and reduced to the individual will of the doctors as well as their experience in the work. Its computerization has only just begun and its implementation is proving to be a snippet in a few healthcare facilities. In the case of the CHU in Setif, computerization of the patient's medical record is underway.
