Patrimoine rural: d'une ferme agricole à une expérience culinaire, cas de la Ferme MICHEL MARINOU

Abstract

Algeria has a little-known colonial rural heritage, particularly the farms of the Sétif region. The Michel Marino farm (Bousselem Valley), an architectural gem from the colonial era illustrating unique agro-spatial know-how (military engineering, winemaking techniques), is threatened by abandonment. This study posits that heritage awareness constitutes the primary foundation of local identity : connecting the past to the future through current efforts to promote it. Our demonstration reveals that economic revitalization through agritourism is the key to safeguarding this heritage, transforming the farm into a vibrant place where: Collective memory historical expertise inspires contemporary agritourism practices Territorial identity is regenerated through collective reappropriation.
